Picking external providers

This guide is intended to lend you a hand in picking an Ingress and Egress provider that matches your needs.

Under development

MailFlow Relay is currently under active development. TThe exact capabilities and painpoints with each provider have yet to be completely realized or mittigated.

Current recommendation​

  • Use SES if you want to go as cheap as possible and do not mind tinkering
  • Use IMAP if you already have a server
  • If neither applies to you check back later when we have setup guides available.

Suggested backup provider​

If you cant or dont want to set up an ingress and egress provider but need forwarding anywaysand you only need a few small lists (<= 10 users) have a look at forwardemail.net which provides aliases for up to 10 targets at a very reasonable price. MailFlow Relay is not affiliated with the service in any way.
