Ratelimits

Ratelinits can be configured to make sure your outbound send stays withing the allowed limits of your provider. Depending on your infrastructure these may be wildly different.

Beware of implicit limits

Running your own mailserver it may be tempting to just set the limits as high as supported by your compute. Note that in the world of email we have a name for high-speed high-volume duplicated email: Spam.
